Patty Cake’s, Cobblers & Fried Chicken

Always absolutely the best Catfish Dinner in Lakewood / Cerritos area. Pick any side they all are great. Stuffing and gravy my favorite. They also have Fried chicken which is amazing,. Homemade deserts to top it all off. They close a bit early so don't hold off and miss them .

I ordered the sampler and glad I did because that catfish is perfectly cooked. The cornbread stuffing is beyond good. I should've ordered more cake because I've tried other cakes from different places and they can't compete. The prices are reasonable. ( I love that they're women cooks ). Everyone was kind and didn't mind going over the food options. Parking is reasonable but somewhat limited. ( it's easy to park ). Overall, it's a good place to go to for soul food

This is a small, quaint restaurant nestled behind a Denny's restaurant. The decor makes you feel at home like you're visiting your mama's kitchen I was greeted with a kind smile and informed the young lady I was picking up my order. The way she said "Bobby'shere" made me feel like they knew me and were eager to present me with my phone order. The young lady making my plates made sure to ask me if I needed any condiments and handed me myorder with a warm smile. The cashier showed me the cakes and other baked goodies that looked, absolutely delicious. I will be trying some on my next visit when coming from Orange County.The Catfish was crispy and cooked to perfection. Perfect amount of seasoning.The Greens were well-cooked and also had a nice flavor. Packaging the Greens in a separate container was a good touch and shows you care about the presentation of your product.I also had the pleasure of indulging in the Mac and Cheese. Let me tell you, I rarely eat Mac and Cheese from restaurants. Not even African American Soul Food establishments, but this restaurant's Mac and cheese was so good. Definitely will be a go-to in my future orders.The cornbread pancakes were anadditional surprise and something I had never tried before. The only 2 things I added when I got homewere butter for the pancake-cornbread and lemon juice for the Catfish.The two combos came to less than 40 and were well worth it.Can't wait to try other menu items onmy next visit to Lakewood, Ca.

Delicious crispy chicken and cornbread dressing. And the cakes are amazing as well..strawberry crunch cake is . They also have pumpkin cheesecake, sweet potato pie, pecan pie and other delicious sweets.This place just had a Grand opening in August so please stop on in to try them out. They have a banana pudding ice cream that's so amazing ! You gotta try it!Support small businesses because they support the community.

This is a 5 star location!The atmosphere was great for being a small location. Service was top-notch!I got the chicken combo with mac and cheese and potato salad!Everything I tasted was amazing, and do not forget the corn bread and dessert!!!!!They have passed down the recipe for the corn bread and peach cobbler from Patty's grandmother!!!!I Highly Recommend You stop by!!!

We were lucky enough to be a part of the soft opening crowd! We ordered two platters - catfish & fried chicken. Every single thing was delicious. Both the catfish and fried chicken were fried perfectly, with a light coating of batter and tender meat inside. I loved all of the sides - favorites are the collared greens & red beans and rice…& the mac n cheese…okay I guess I don’t have a favorite. If you’re a fan of southern cooking or want to try something new, why not give Patty Cake’s a try?

I LOVE this place. Patty and the crew are always welcoming. Even when they’re busy!Their cornbread hits different as it’s not the typical cornbread some of you think. EVERY thing on the menu is good. I literally tried everything. When the banana pudding ice cream is in stock, do yourself a favor and grab one if you can!I moved out of California and fly out here every month. Always do my best to make a pit stop here before flying back. That’s how good it is!
